Dash reads it and looks things up
Dash, the assistant inside DrivrShield AI, reads every line of the photo. It checks recalls and crash ratings with NHTSA, fuel economy with fueleconomy.gov, and your state's tax and fee rules, and draws on DrivrShield's library of sourced car-buying references.
You get it in plain language
Each line or fact is explained: what it is, who sets it, and what it means for you. Where a number comes from a source, the answer says so. Where the data stops, it says that too.
You get the words to ask
Every explanation ends with the questions that matter: what a fee covers, whether an add-on can come off, what the payment is at your approved rate. You stay the one making the decision.
Where the answers come from
Answers that depend on facts start from published sources: NHTSA for recalls, crash ratings and VIN decoding, the U.S. government's fuel-economy data for mileage and engines, and state rules for sales tax and dealer fees. DrivrShield's reference library carries a source and an as-of date for every entry.
What it will never do
Knowing where the line is makes the rest trustworthy. DrivrShield AI does not:
- Grade your specific deal or tell you to sign
- Predict what a dealer will accept
- Contact a dealer or lender, negotiate, or arrange financing
- Pull your credit
- Tell you a vehicle is safe to drive, or that a symptom is harmless
- Give legal, tax, or individualized financial advice

Questions
Do I need an account?
The free tools and guides work without one. Asking Dash takes a free account, which includes 5 Asks each calendar month (Eastern time). The $19.99/month plan removes the monthly Ask cap and adds 40 photo reads a month.
Is DrivrShield a dealer or broker?
No. DrivrShield is an analysis and information service. It is not a dealer, broker, lender or law firm, doesn't sell or source vehicles, and is paid by you, never by a dealer.
Will a person read my questions?
Answers are generated by AI and labeled that way; they are not human-reviewed. Authorized staff see content only when needed for support, security or a service you request. Human Deal Analysis, opening mid-fall 2026, is the separate service where a real person reviews a deal.
Is my information used to train AI?
Not unless you separately opt in. Your questions and photos may be processed by approved AI providers to produce the answer, under contracts that prevent general model training on identifiable customer content. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Does it work at the dealership?
Yes. It runs in your phone's browser, so you can photograph a worksheet at the desk and read the explanation before anyone asks for a signature. You can add it to your home screen like an app.
