Which states cap doc fees?

18 states cap the doc fee by law: Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington and West Virginia. South Carolina and Texas set soft limits, where a higher fee has to be filed with or justified to the state. Everywhere else has no cap. Each state's page links the statute or regulator.
